Hello,

We have been quite busy lately here in the Charting Labs and I would like to draw your attention on another slick feature we are adding to the Charting toolset -- RadChart AutoLayout. The AutoLayout functionality instructs the control to perform out-of-the-box layout arrangement that provides optimal utilization of the whole chart area and ensures that all chart elements are fully readable and do not overlap with one another.

Here are a few samples that illustrate the described functionality:

AutoLayout calculates the necessary space for all elements so they are fully readable and not clipped (notice the axis item labels -- they are quite long and still they are fully displayed):

AutoLayout ensures optimal utilization of the whole chart area -- notice the legend is hidden now and the layout automatically expands the plot area to occupy the free space:

AutoLayout takes into account user-specified settings on elements as well (notice the applied rotation on the axis item labels and the title):

Pretty cool, isn't it? And the coolest thing is that it works automatically -- there is no need to adjust the margins of the chart elements manually in order to achieve the desired appearance.

The AutoLayout functionality will be available for community preview as part of the Prometheus "Futures" release in the end of March, and will be officially released as part of Q1 2008 in mid-April.
