Telerik blogs
This year the  MIX conference had a very cool Show Off contest. Here's what the organizers had to say about it:

"At MIX08, we’re hosting what will be a world famous Show Off event. If you’ve ever wanted to put the smack down on lesser mortals, flex your brain, and get everyone to gloat at your—deservedly—awe-inspiring work, this is what might be called a prime opportunity. We want you to inspire others with your unique software, tip, tool, technique, animation, or anything else we can’t think of. All you need to do is create a short, 3-minute-or-less video demonstrating what you want to show off."

We thought that this contest would be an ideal opportunity to showcase some of our work on WPF and Silverlight. We've blogged about it, we've shown some stuff for Silverlight, but we have not published complete sample apps as the ones you'll see in the videos. You'll also see our WPF controls in action for the FIRST time ever!

Lib – Tech Snowboards on-line store - a sample application of an on-line store for snowboarding gear, powered by Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 and Telerik RadControls User Interface components. The movie shows how you can achieve great interactivity, smooth vector animations, and highly intuitive navigation. The application features an innovative product filtering approach, Telerik’s integrated animation panel, and a wide range of Silverlight controls which will be coming up from us soon.

Telerik Resort Explorer - an application that we at Telerik have created to demonstrate the amazing capabilities of our WPF controls, which set new visual standards for you business applications and operate with large amount of data. The WPF Show Off video was selected amongst the 16 finalists from over 2,000 entries in the contest and ranked 6th overall!

So what do you think? Are you excited about the amazing user experiences you will be able to deliver with our next gen products? I personally hope that what we've created will seem bland in a few months time when you get the bits and release your imagination:)
