Telerik blogs

We've just uploaded the Service Pack 1 for JustCode so feel free to log in to your Telerik accounts and download JustCode. Earlier this week Visual Studio 2010 RTM was released and we are happy to announce that this version of JustCode fully supports it. Other areas of interest in this release are the typing assistance behavior and JavaScript formatting. We also further optimized JustCode’s memory usage and speed. You’ll find the full release notes for the Service Pack here

Visual Studio 2010 changes

As Visual Studio is now officially out we now fully support its final version as well as the new .NET 4.0 framework features.

Typing Assistance improvements

As JustCode’s first official release approached we started getting an increasing number of requests for a typing assistance feature. In spite of being at a fairly advanced stage of our development cycle we managed to squeeze in a basic implementation of a typing assistance. While it was working fine at that time we realized there was great room for improvement. In this release you will be pleasantly surprised by the number of key strokes JustCode typing assistance saves you with all the new features we added to it. We also removed some fairly unpleasant glitches of that feature to offer an entirely new much smoother experience.

In addition to the already existing typing assistance for braces, brackets and parentheses, now JustCode also assists you with the single and double quotes. In essence what you get now is a truly smart typing assistant.

To increase your control over the way our typing assistance does its job we added two more options –formatting your code line when you hit semicolon and formatting after closing brace.

More to come

We continuously improve and optimize JustCode in various ways. You will find a ton of other improvements – JavaScript support, new and improved refactorings and quick fixes, etc.

We have been focused on performance since the very beginning. In this service pack speed and memory optimizations again are the highest priority so you can expect JustCode to work better and faster using less resources and saving you more time while you focus on your real work.

In conclusion, with this service pack you can expect greatly improved JustCode, now working in VS 2010 RTM and a true assistant to your daily work. Stay tuned for the blog posts to follow in the weeks to come that will help you make the best out of all the goodies we have introduced in JustCode SP1.
