Building BI Dashboards with Telerik RadControls for Silverlight and WPF Webinar Follow-up

by Evan Hutnick | Comments 2

Despite the initial audio and connectivity issues, the Building BI Dashboards with RadControls for Silverlight and WPF Webinar proceeded well and we got to dive into some of the issues people face in these scenarios as well as how RadControls for Silverlight and RadControls for WPF can help answer those challenges.  This is very close to the presentation that I gave this past weekend at the New England BI Code Camp, except the webinar is a little more focused on Telerik controls.  :)

In this presentation, we look at a fictional requirements list for a customer would look like and why Silverlight or WPF can easily provide the type of rich, dynamic environment for next generation dashboard development.  On top of that, we look at how Telerik RadControls provide...

  • RadDocking for a dynamic layout that you can easily save and restore with built-in functionality
  • RadTileView for fluid layouts that allow three different content states
  • RadChart and RadGauge for quickly displaying data, as well as rich functionality for more advanced displays
  •  RadGridView for quick and functional binding, with sorting, excel-like filtering, and easy to use grouping out of the box

Thanks!

Hi Evan,

I have just watched your webinar on the RadMap control for Silverlight. I am interested in building a custom map data provider for the control. Could you tell me where I could obtain the relevant document to achieve that? Thank you!

Is it the latest code available or did you took it further. I am actually very keen on taking this idea to create a simple dashboard designer as you have.
