Telerik blogs

Telerik has been in business for 9 years. During that time, we have made over 200 releases, with more than 400 service packs. We release internal bits every week and most teams do a daily build. Today, our portfolio consists of 4 Product Groups and over 20 different individual products. Telerik maintains in TFS a code base of more than 10,000,000 lines of code which is covered by over 350,000 unit and integration tests. For key products we have 80-90% test coverage. We test our different products on over 300 virtual machines running on large IBM servers. To guarantee we don’t lose important information we back up everything (that is, terabytes of data) on tape in addition to the real-time remote replication. We have many systems to ensure business continuity 365 days in the year (sometimes even 366:). It takes less than 2 hours to restore any critical asset. Most of the critical items are available in under 15 minutes.

In just 9 years, we have earned the trust of over 100,000 customers. Using our tools they have built applications that are used on a daily basis by hundreds of millions of people around the world. Our customers and ever-growing community are served by 400+ employees from 15 different nationalities spread in 9 offices on 4 continents. Our average response time for the last 6 months is 7.5 hours. The average age at Telerik is ~26 years. Across the Telerik product teams, there are over 120 MCPs. Telerik is maintaining the highest level as Microsoft Gold Certified Partner since 2005 and has 4 Gold and 8 Silver Microsoft Competencies.

Community at Telerik is important, too. We have built one of the largest communities in the .NET world with more than 500,000 registered users. At Telerik there are 7 Microsoft MVPs on staff. In 2010, Telerik sponsored more than 200 developer user groups, code camps, and charity development events around the world, donating software, money, speakers, and cool .NET Ninja swag. To help make sure every user group has access to high quality speakers, Telerik sponsors 17 Telerik Insider Speakers that deliver presentations to user groups of all sizes – no size-discrimination! :)

Many of the above numbers have changed with Telerik’s growth. The only thing that has not changed since we started in business is our #1 priority - to “deliver more than expected”.
