by Telerik Marketing Blog | Comment 1

True to our tradition of being the first company out-of-the-gate to arm developers with tools for Silverlight and Windows Phone, Telerik will be revealing the first commercial library for Windows 8 at TechEd’12, June 11-14.

RadControls for Metro is the toolset for building Windows 8 enterprise and consumer apps that will run on tablets and large screens using your language of choice – HTML or XAML. The suite will include two mirror libraries with the same user experience, functionality and behavior. No matter if you are an HTML or XAML developers, you will be able to build exactly the same app using RadControls for Metro.

We’ve leveraged our expertise in XAML, HTML/JavaScript and Windows Phone to complement core features of the Windows 8 SDK that will enable developers to rapidly create rich data visualization and slick interactivity.

Check out this video and get a glimpse at the first product’s screenshots.

Excellent! Now if you can also make it so that the html stuff can work in a regular browser as well for backwards compatibility, you'll really be rocking.
It would be wonderful for a faux class set to be available that would replace the ms ones if running out of Windows 8 native, and give similar functionality without the direct hardware stuff obviously. Once you have this, it will be the holly grail.
