It reminded me of something I am seeing too often when I talk to people, especially younger guys who want to be entrepreneurs. I get the feeling that they put a value only on big ideas, big discoveries, big success stories. Everyone wants to change the world and if they can’t, it is seen as a massive failure. People want to be like Steve Jobs – wake up, imagine something, make it a smashing success and change the lives of billions of people.

The 4th annual St. Louis Day(s) of .NET built on the previous years successes and once again delivered an amazing show.  Held at the beautiful Ameristar Casino and Resort in St. Charles, Missouri.  This year, the conference maxed out the capacity of the conference center (over 800 people attended the show!)

For the 2011 Q1 release Telerik JustCode brought to its users the ability to easily reorganize code - solution, project or folder wise. One major release later - 2011 Q2, taking into account your feedback, the JustCode Cleaner has now grown even more.

With only few clicks you can change thousands of lines of code to match your requirements. It has been more than a month since the Silverlight and WinForms teams added Metro themes to their suites and it seems that the interest in their light and clean design is constantly rising. In this episode we are taking a step back from our UX and UI discussions to focus a bit more on the data that will drive our application.  Now that we understand the typical end user better and have translated this knowledge into something more concrete from a development standpoint, one of the next steps is to tie these views and navigation paths to some concrete data that will serve as the backend of our application.  After all, a great CRM needs to efficiently handle large volumes of data to maintain customer information as well as alert us of potential deals that are ready...

Telerik OpenAccess ORM uses Microsoft Message Queuing for (optional) synchronization of the L2Cache. The principal setup is described here. In some cases the default settings as described in the documentation are not sufficient.

Having more than one network interface card

In cases where you have more than on network interface card on the machine you are running the MSMQ, you might get into the problem, that the MSMQ doesn’t know which nic to use. In effect it starts to randomly use a nic. A message like this will appear in your event log.
