INTRODUCTION

Thank you to everyone who attended the Reporting and OpenAccess webinar entitled "Impress Your End-Users with New Visualizations in Telerik Reporting. Manage Large Data Models with OpenAccess".  If you weren't able to attend, the webinar has been edited and is now available on Telerik TV for your enjoyment!

Remember that Telerik Reporting and OpenAccess are part of a bundle of tools that you can use to become more productive in your day to day work.  The DevCraft bundle includes 12 amazing products that costs less than if you purchased only two of our stand-alone tools!  (To avoid confusion, OpenAccess ORM is a free product!).  Please take a moment and check out what the DevCraft bundle can offer you!

WHAT DID WE COVER ?

What's new in Telerik Reporting?

  • Telerik Reporting has a brand new charting engine, boasting a 10x performance increase and a 3x reduced memory footprint.
  • The new Graph component has design-time rendering, allowing you to preview your data as you are designing, saving you time flipping back and forth between design and preview modes.
  • You can now easily combine multiple series on a single graph for enhanced data visualization!
  • There is also easy cosmetic customization through predefined color palettes!

What's new in Telerik OpenAccess ORM?

  • Telerik OpenAccess ORM now has the ability to logically split your model across multiple diagrams - so when you are dealing with a large database you can move things around so you can be more productive, while the underlying context itself remains unchanged. With this feature you also have the ability to select an entity and include related tables or its table hierarchy
  • The addition of the generation of ASP.NET Web API services to the already impressive list of OpenAccess services (WCF, WCF OData v3, WCF OData v1, RESTful collection Service, AtomPub service)
  • A new type - BinaryStream allows you to stream binary data directly from the database with ease!
  • The ability to use RadControls for Ajax in the OpenAccess Dynamic Data Wizard instead of the stock Microsoft controls.
