Telerik blogs

It’s 2015, and the first Kendo UI release is upon on us. The new code officially drops on March 18 and will be followed by a Kendo UI Q1 webinar on April 9th at 11:00 a.m. ET. The webinar will showcase and discuss the new features, updates and changes found in the Kendo UI Q1 2015 code release.

Why Attend the Webinar?

The point of the webinar is to deliver to you the new Kendo UI newness in the least amount of time possible, so you don’t have to go scavenging for it. We serve it up for you on a platter so all that is required is for you to sit back, relax and watch the webinar. Additionally, if you want to interact with us directly, there will be a short Q&A at the end of the webinar during which questions from the community will be answered. All and all, it’s the ideal way to keep up with the Q1 changes in Kendo UI framework and get your questions answered.

Now, if narrated video demos from highly capable developers or live Q&As are not enough to attract you to one of our webinars, just consider by registering and attending, you’ll be eligible to receive one of the following prizes:

  1. iphone 6 Plus

  2. Surface Pro 3

  3. Nexus 6

  4. Optoma HD Home Theater Projector

  5. Kendo UI licenses (10 to give away)

  6. 5 UI for ASP.NET MVC licenses (five to give away)

If knowledge is not enough of a reward itself, the possibility of winning one of the aforementioned prizes will hopefully convince you to attend--and you have to attend to win.

Before the Release/Webinar

If you are uninitiated in the ways of a Kendo UI release, allow me to explain what is available for consumption before the official release:

  1. Consider watching the previous webinar just to make sure you are already caught up on Kendo UI changes and features.

  2. Review the questions and answers from the previous webinar.

  3. Read the Q1 roadmap blog post, so you have a general idea of what is new in the upcoming release.

  4. Examine the new Kendo UI beta demos. The beta demos include new demos as well as all the previous Kendo UI demos, updated with most of soon-to-be-released 2015 Q1 code. This makes the beta demos an ideal tool for examining not just new widgets, but changes to existing widgets as well as bug fixes.

  5. Take the new Kendo UI code for a test drive in your own code context. If you are an active Kendo UI trial or commercial license holder, you can find the beta bits in your Telerik account for download. Or, if all you need is the minified code, you can pull the pre-release code from the official Kendo UI CDN.

Set a Reminder

Once you’ve signed up for the webinar open your calendar and block out an hour on April 9 at 11:00 a.m. ET for the webinar. If you do it right now, then you’ll more than likely get automated “jog my memory” reminders from your calendar application, freeing up some valuable brain storage.
