RadTips, Episode 9: Spell-Checking with the RadSpell

Welcome back to another episode of RadTips, a series of screencasts offering tips and tricks for using Telerik's RadControls. It's been a while since my last RadTip, so I hope you enjoy the new content. If you've missed previous episodes, be sure to check them out. Each is only a few minutes long and covers a specific feature of the RadControls.

Also, I recently posted a survey for those of you interested in picking what content you'd like to see in future RadTips. So if you haven't taken it yet, head over to the survey and let me know what controls you're interested in learning more about. I want to be sure that the content I'm creating is the content you want to see.

This Week

In this episode I'm going to show you how to get started using the RadSpell for ASP.NET AJAX. As you might suspect spell-checking is built in to the RadEditor, but you can use the RadSpell control to quickly and easily extend other server-side controls, such as the TextBox or RadGrid, with spell-checking capabilities. You can also add spell-checking to client-side elements, such as the <div> and <textarea> elements. So check out the quick video and see how easy it is to add spell-checking to your own web applications.

As always, code and video are available for download. Enjoy!

This is a great example of how to use the Telerik RadSpell.  Is there a way to implement the tool so that it works like the "Google Spell Check" on a search submission?

    Example:

    [    I lov Telerik       ]   [search]

Did you mean "I love Telerik"
