Nik, does this beta include the bug fixes with MaskedText box and validation of RIA that I had reported? I'd like to jump on this beta, but hopefully those issues are resolved.

    Thanks

The Q3 2009 Roadmap (http://www.telerik.com/products/silverlight/whats-new/roadmap.aspx) references a RadTimeLine control.  I'm hoping this new control is similar to the Outlook Journal control where you can view events on a horizontal timeline.  Can someone at Telerik elaborate on the new control and confirm if it will be in the Q3 2009 release.  Thanks.

The fixes on the RadMaskedTextBox are not included in this Beta. It is mainly focused on the new and upcoming controls with Q3 2009. We usually include the bugfixes in the Latest Internal Builds we release each Friday.

We will postpone the development on the TimeLine control for Q1 2010. However, there will be another tool that has not been announced in the Roadmap yet. This tool is coming with the Q3 2009 release. We will share some more details on this control soon. So stay tuned.

Looks awesome!  I really like the new controls and improvements to the existing ones.  Is the GridView in Silverlight going to have any improvements?  Multi-cell select with copy\paste, for example?  We are really using the Grid heavily, and it is so close to being an end-all solution.

Nic, UI Virtualisation for the RadTreeView in Silverlight was on the list as a possible improvement for the Q3 release. Nothing is mentioned above so has it been included? Thanks
  • Stefan Dobrev 25 Sep 2009
@Kevin We are going to address some of the top notch issues in Q3 like UI virtualization, validation and paging. Multi-cell selection is high on the list as well and we will do our best to have this feature till the end of the year - maybe for service pack after Q3.
  • Nikolay Atanasov 25 Sep 2009
@Martin, We are currently working on the UI virtualization for our RadTreeView. A preview of this feature(improvement) will be available with the Beta2 release that will be launched a few weeks before the official Q3 release.
