The highly anticipated Visual Studio 2012 has just been released to manufacturing! Just as quickly as we responded to the Beta version of your favorite IDE, we are now proud to announce that we are ready to bring OpenAccess ORM to the RTM with our dedicated Q2 2012 SP2 version.

OpenAccess ORM is ready to help you get started by generating all the needed code for your Data Access Layer in any Visual Studio 2012 RTM project. You can start right away, utilizing our project templates already fine-tuned for VS 2012 and .NET 4.5. Choose either Fluent Mapping project or a class library with a Domain Model, built automatically via our Visual Designer:

If your project is going to have an ASP.NET front-end, why not create the Web Application or a Web Site directly:

As you can see, we do offer full integration with ASP.NET Dynamic Data as well, so that you can not only generate your data model, but also have the pages accessing your entities created for you out of the box.

Once you have your model created, you can make use of the small improvements in the Solution Explorer VS 2012 is offering, such as the Preview functionality. Just enable it through the Preview button, and you can start reviewing your files easily and quickly by just clicking them once. Opening your diagram with this mode is much faster than if you open it for editing, so this might be a very nice option for those of you who just want to take a glance at their large models.

You are now all set! Go explore the latest Visual Studio and take full advantage of the latest OpenAccess ORM enhancements. Happy coding!
