Telerik blogs

Telerik has offered professional services for several years now, in response to demands from our customers. These have ranged from training and mentoring engagements to development of proof-of-concept applications demonstrating how our tools work with our customers’ existing infrastructure. We have also worked closely with certain customers to build features they require directly into our tools.

With the recent acquisition of NimblePros and the growth of Telerik’s Services team, some companies may worry that Telerik is a competitive threat when it comes to training and consulting engagements. Absolutely not, and we’d like the opportunity to prove it to you!

We do have an excellent Telerik Services team. They know our products and they are recognized experts in the fields of software development, design, and user experience. They are among the very best at what they do, and we are proud to have them as part of the Telerik team.

We also have some of the very best customers in the world. Customers who work very hard to develop amazing software, in fantastic businesses and organizations all over the world. Nothing makes us happier than to help them to accomplish all of the incredible things that they do every day, and we love to hear stories about their success.

But with over 100,000 customers worldwide, the potential demand for services to complement our products is huge. How can we possibly address these needs and still deliver more than our customers expect from us every day?

Telerik must focus on providing strategic resources and support to reach as many customers as possible.

This doesn’t mean that we can do it alone.

We will always take on certain challenging projects that require really specialized knowledge of our products or direct access to the product teams. However, the majority of our efforts, when it comes to Services, are focused on providing training and support to other companies, so that they, in turn, can provide direct assistance to our fantastic customers.

We have always worked with many other companies who help to support our customers with custom application development, training, and other services. However, as Telerik grows and its product portfolio expands, it’s time for us to really organize and concentrate those efforts. In fact, in the near future you will see us unveil a new Telerik Partner Network. This program will improve and formalize our relationship with these companies by providing better access to resources, improved communication, and most importantly to our Partners, referrals from Telerik customers in need of services.

What does this mean for you?

If you are a Telerik customer, you will have better access to our excellent Telerik Partners. These are companies that we know and trust, who have proven that they are not only experts with Telerik products, but also able to deliver high quality code to their clients. When our Services team refers you to a Partner, we’ll follow up to make sure things are going well, and we’ll be available in case the Partner needs assistance.  This tends to work very well for our customers, since we are able to pair them with an available company that meets the specific needs of their project – and is often located close to them geographically, too.

If you are a Telerik Partner, you will have better access to support and training from our Telerik experts. If you meet our high standards, we’ll help connect you with our customers who need your help. This isn’t something that we take lightly, but if you think you are up to the challenge, we want to hear from you. We want to know what you have to offer and how we can count on you to provide excellent service and expert assistance to our customers around the world. If you think you have what it takes, please contact us at partners@telerik.com.

We’re still here to provide expert services and support for Telerik customers. We’ll still provide some training and mentoring and work on some more complex projects. But our real focus is on making sure that we are able to meet the needs of as many amazing Telerik customers as we can, every day, and we can’t do that alone. Maybe that’s more than you’d expect from most companies, but at Telerik, that’s just what we do.
