• TechEd New Zealand kicks off this Wednesday in the beautiful Auckland. If you are there make sure to come by the Telerik booth, grab a t-shirt (we have a special "geekette" edition for the ladies), get a chance to win a 250GB Xbox360 + Kinect, and check what's new in our Q2 2011 release. You will find a Telerik flyer in your bag, fill it quickly and come to the booth to enter the draw for the prize.

Our Aussie web expert Malcolm Sheridan will deliver several sessions covering hot topics like MVC lessons learnt and easy web deployment, so be sure to attend and learn...

  • After the success of the DDD! Melbourne event last month, Telerik sponsored the DDD! Sydney (#dddsydney on Twitter) this weekend.

The DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper! conference is driven by the community, meaning that everyone can submit a topic and the people vote for their favorites.

In DDD! Sydney there were 4 tracks of great content about HTML5, Web, ALM and Other running in parallel. I could not attend all of them, however those I could gave me a plenty of new information and inspiration. Among the highlights were

    • S.O.L.I.D Design Principles in C# by Omar Besiso
    • New Development Workflows by David Burela. The video of his talk in DDD! Melbourne can be seen on his blog.
    • Windows Azure Acid...
  • Telerik is proud to be a sponsor at this year's REMIX, the major event in Australia for the web, web technologies, web platforms and web trends. We have just assembled a very nice booth where we will show you some of our very cool web demos and new stuff.

Figure: we built this stand in about half an hour

Today, 1st June, is the free PREMIX keynote, so come before 7pm to secure your seat. Michael Kordahi, the delic8 genius, promised a special evening with a lot of great speakers and a live performance by ... I won't tell you, because they will delete my blog.

  • This weekend, Telerik sponsored the SharePoint Saturday event in Brisbane, Australia (#SPSBNE). The terrible day of Rapture (Thousands said goodbye to family and friends ahead of 6pm Saturday deadline) was on this day and it was all over the news. So I was a bit worried if I should spend the last day of the world here, but Mike Rhodes had said we had lots of great speakers and I was looking forward to meeting them.

Figure: I could not resist the temptation to see those speakers

The day started out with a bang and it went from strength to strength. I found it was...

  • New Zealand's first Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) conference ran in Wellington on 6 and 7 April 2011. This is the premier event for developers and project managers in New Zealand. Telerik is proud to be one of the sponsors.

Telerik and Visual Studio 2010 at NZ ALM
Figure: As usual, Telerik and Visual Studio 2010 sit well together

The two-day conference programme was packed with high quality international and local speakers presenting on ALM and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.

There were a lot of interesting sessions and here are the ones that I like the most:

    • Database development with the new version of SQL Server – Denali, presented by Peter Ward, SQL ...

    G’day mates,

I would like to share something with you – me and my family recently moved to Sydney, Australia to enjoy the nice weather and the golden beaches down under and for me to become Mr. Telerik Australia. :-)

The press release says: “We see that the Australian and New Zealand are expressing great interest in our latest software developer productivity solutions, data conversion tools, automated Web Testing tools, and CMS offerings and our goal is to answer these markets’ needs by broadening our presence, our community and our technical team in this dynamic region.

Firstly, this means our commitment to this market, and...

About Me

I have recently moved to Sydney, Australia. My goal is to help the Aussie and Kiwi .NET developers, testers and Project Managers to take advantage of the Number One 3rd party toolset, so they can make super awesome software.
