Introducing Telerik Metro Blue theme for RadControls for WinForms

by WinForms Team | Comments 2

It has been more than a month since the Silverlight and WinForms teams added Metro themes to their suites and it seems that the interest in their light and clean design is constantly rising. Our reply to this enthusiasm is a new fresh metro skin for RadControls for WinForms flavoured in white and blue.

Telerik Metro Blue Rad GridView

The theme file is already available under the WinForms category in the Skin Sharing Portal and it will be included our next major release Q3 2011. Don’t forget that sharing your custom theme in the Skin Sharing Portal can win you a $200 ThinkGeek Gift Card.

Thank you for the wonderful products. Is there a simple way to change the accent color while keeping all other things metro? i wanted to use the orange color instead of blue everywhere in my application while keeping else same as metro.
Thank you :)

Hi Mustakim,
Currently, there is no simple way to change the blueish colors with let's say orange colors. We also think that this would be a good feature to add to our suite and we will consider introducing it in a future release. For the time being, you have to modify the colors through Visual Style Builder. Please note that for some of the parts that contain the accent colors we are using images, so you will need to rework these images as well. If you have additional questions on the approach, do not hesitate to open a new support ticket.
